Scholarships and Awards
Each year contestants from across Pennsylvania may take part in local or regional programs through which the Outstanding
Young Women from those areas are selected. Those representatives go on to the state finals in Reading, Pa. Participants
at both levels compete for cash scholarships and college scholarships.
Albright College - Reading, PA
To Pennsylvania's Outstanding Young Woman: a $20,000 scholarship payable $5,000 per year.
To the First Runner-up: a $8,000 scholarship payable $2,000 per year.
To the Scholarship & Achievement Winner: a $12,000 scholarship payable $3,000 per year.
TOTAL VALUE: $40,000
These scholarships are based on academic and financial qualifications. They are in addition to other scholarships
made available by Albright College.
Albright College also provides scholarships on the local level.
Alvernia College - Reading PA
To Pennsylvania's Outstanding Young Woman: a $4,000 scholarship payable $1,000 per year
TOTAL VALUE: $4,000
Arcadia University - Glenside, PA
To Pennsylvania's Outstanding Young Woman: a $20,000 Achievement Award payable $5,000 per year.
To Each Runner-up: a $12,000 scholarship payable $3,000 per year.
TOTAL VALUE: $56,000
Carlow University - Pittsburgh, PA
To all State Finalists: a $10,000 scholarship payable $2500 per year, based on 3.0 GPA and minimum 1000 Critical Reasoning score on SAT.

Cedar Crest College - Allentown, PA
To Pennsylvania's Outstanding Young Woman, First Runner-up, Second Runner-up, Third Runner-up, Scholarship
& Achievement and Interview Awardees (6 awards):
A $16,000 scholarship to each, payable $4,000 per year.

College Misericordia - Dallas, PA
To Pennsylvania's Outstanding Young Woman: a $4,000 scholarship payable $1,000 per year.

COLLEGE OF SAINT ELIZABETH - Morristown, NJ
To All Finalists: a $10,000 scholarship payable $2,500 per year.
These scholarships are based on entrance requirements and are in addition to other scholarships provided by the
college.

Lebanon Valley College of Pennsylvania - Annville, PA
To Pennsylvania's Outstanding Young Woman: a $4,000 scholarship payable $1,000 per year.
To all Finalists: a $2,000 scholarship payable $500 per year.
These scholarships are in addition to scholarships offered by the college based on class rank.

To each contestant in the state finals: a $4,000 scholarship payable $1,000 per year.
